Skorradalsvatn is located in Skorradalur in Borgarfjarðarsýsla on Iceland‘s east coast.
Distance from Reykjavík and the nearest township
Distance from Reykjavík is 85 km, if you drive through "Dragháls" (taking the Hvalfjörður route, abstaining from the Tunnel).
It is also possible to reach Skorradalur through "Hvanneyri“ (through the Hvalfjörður Tunnel) which is a right turn just before you arrive at Borgarnes, which is close by Skorradalur.
Practical information
The lake covers an area of 14, 7 km2 and goes down to 48 meters at the deepest point. The lake rises to 60 m above sea level.
The river Andakílsá runs from the lake.
Fishing area
Cardholders are only allowed to fish on the farm Indriðastaðir property. This is about 1 km. shoreline which is close to where the lake runs to river Andakílsá. Please contact the landlord for further information.

Fishing potential
Large fish, either brown trout or char, can be caught. The majority of the catch will probably be around 1-2 pounds.

May 1st to September 30th.
Bait
All bait is allowed: fly, worm and lure.
Best time of the year
June and August.

At the Indriðastaðir you can also rent ATVs and horses.

Rules:
Littering and off-road driving is strictly forbidden. Cardholders must sign up at Indriðastaðir and show both the Veiðikortið and an appropriate ID. Children under 14 are allowed for free, if accompanied by adult cardholder.
