Vķfilsstašavatn is located in Garšabęr, a suburb of Reykjavik.
The lake is covers an area of 0, 27 km2 and rises to 38 m above sea level.
This lake is often used for practicing fly fishing.
Camping is not allowed by the lake. Various hotels, camping sites and lodgings can be found in the Greater Reykjavik area.
Char and brown trout are found in the lake, with an average size of 1-2 pounds.

8:00 am to midnight.
April 1st to September 15th.
All bait is allowed: fly, worm and lure.

The Lake is owned by Garšabęr.
Littering and off-road driving is forbidden. Cardholders must sign up at Golfskįli G.K.G (The Golf club nearby) and show both the Veišikortiš and an appropriate ID. Children under 14 are allowed for free, if accompanied by adult cardholder.
No dogs are allowed by the lake.
